The Canary Islands are a very popular holiday destination. But La Palma is a one of a number of the Canary Islands not touched by mass tourism. It is a small island (only 706 km2) north west of Tenerife with just 86,000 habitants and is the fifth largest of the seven Canary Islands.
La Palma is part of the Tenerife group of islands in the Canaries which also includes La Gomera and El Hierro. The capital city of the island is Santa Cruz de la Palma and with its 18,000 population it is the biggest municipality on La Palma.
Hotel Edén is located in Los Llanos de Aridane on the west side of La Palma. Los Llanos is easily accessible via public transport from both the island’s capital city and its international airport. Los Llanos is also the perfect place to stay for access to the Caldera de Taburiente, the island’s world-famous national park (whose main flora comprises a large forest of Canary Island Pine, with an important population of the endangered Canary Islands Juniper also present).
Los Llanos is also one of the economic engines of the island with an economy based around bananas as well as tourism.
Built in 1969, Hotel Edén was the first hotel in Los Llanos de Aridane. It has 20 rooms and has been a family business for three generations.
Hotel Edén can be found at the very heart of Los Llanos de Aridane in the town’s historic Plaza de España.
